This study examined the relationship between compliance with the Copenhagen Adduction Exercise (CAE) and monthly groin problems in rink hockey players. One hundred and sixty-two players (67% males) were followed during a full competitive season. Teams were free to implement zero, one, or two CAE sessions per week. Groin problem prevalence was assessed monthly using the Oslo Sports Trauma Research Center Overuse Injury Questionnaire (OSTRC-O). A Generalized Estimating Equation model examined the association between monthly CAE sessions and groin problem occurrence, adjusting for covariates. Thirteen to 25.3% of participants reported groin problems each month. The number of monthly CAE sessions was not associated with groin problem occurrence (OR = 1.02; 95% CI: 0.93 to 1.11; p = 0.71).
