In Cuba, 29.4% of all deaths are due to cardiovascular diseases (2021). Hypertension affects 39.9% of adults aged 30–79 (95% CI: 30.9–49.4; 2019), and only 32.8% of people with hypertension have it under control (2019). Diabetes affects 11.8% of adults (95% CI: 8.1–16.2; 2022). The probability of dying between ages 30 and 70 from a noncommunicable disease is 17.6% (2021).
