In Jamaica, 32.1% of all deaths are due to cardiovascular diseases (2019). Hypertension affects 46.3% of adults aged 30–79 (95% CI: 37.1–55.6; 2019), and only 19.1% of people with hypertension have it under control (2019). Diabetes affects 24.5% of adults (95% CI: 17.7–32.1; 2022). The probability of dying between ages 30 and 70 from a noncommunicable disease is 20.2% (2021).
