In Paraguay, 19.3% of all deaths are due to cardiovascular diseases (2021). Hypertension affects 56.4% of adults aged 30–79 (95% CI: 46.6–65.9; 2019), and only 12.6% of people with hypertension have it under control (2019). Diabetes affects 14.3% of adults (95% CI: 6.3–26.2; 2022). The probability of dying between ages 30 and 70 from a noncommunicable disease is 16.1% (2021).
