In Peru, 10.8% of all deaths are due to cardiovascular diseases (2021). Hypertension affects 20.7% of adults aged 30–79 (95% CI: 18.2–23.3; 2019), and only 21.7% of people with hypertension have it under control (2019). Diabetes affects 17.5% of adults (95% CI: 11.9–24.2; 2022). The probability of dying between ages 30 and 70 from a noncommunicable disease is 12.3% (2021).
